Nita Mukesh Ambani Culture Centre (NMACC) Founded by Nita Ambani is a “ Sensory Journey of India’s rich Culture History through Costume, Performing, Fine arts, Theater, Visual Arts etc.” ( A Concept similar to The Met Gala, with regards to The exhibition open for general public ) The Formal Launch took place on 31st March 2023, as A Theatric Performance night by Feroz Abbas khan play The Great Indian Musical: Civilizations to nation opening grand theater spaces wind on preforming art in India from OM to leading creation of India, story unfold in spectacle of Act, Dance & Music Witnessed by A Listers Around the World.

Whereas Day 2, 1st April took the Internet by Storm. The celebration of the Exhibit Opening ( Curated by Hamish Bowels & Designed by Patrick Kinmonth & Rooshad shroff ) Along with Red Carpet appearance by A listers Around the world followed by Indian Paparazzi’s, Bollywood Performances, Highlights & shades that Followed after.

A Listers at NMACC took everyones Breath away, Entertained & super glued to their phones in FOMO. A Lister In Attendance did managed to serve Absolute Looks rich in Indian Culture, Indian Editorial Fashion & dressed By Indian designers creating A Full circle to India in Fashion. Major Highlights from Indian Textile, Embroidery, Technique, Tradition & personalities were Confidentially walked over the carpet. Some designers being the repetitive choice of the Night Rahul Mishra, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Anamika Khanna were Breathtaking in there Creations.

This article is a Deep Dive on how the Stylist and designer executed the looks that fits both Indian and Western standard effortlessly. First things first, it was pleasure to see A lister Men especially to take fashion seriously and Dress up instead of wear just plain boring suits that hardly is distinguished between a bodyguard’s or a uniform.

Best Of Indian Editorial Fashion

Indian Fashion when comes to Tailored looks variations in styles happen majorly with length, symmetry, embroidery and layering beneath it. What stays constant is the Fit & Sophistication. It gives Royal, Alpha, Power, Heritage and Etiquettes. Rich Velvet blazer embroidered over the edges in self on self silver tone is how coats in mughal era used to have edges embroidery in delicate embroideries. Sheer take on kurta silhouette asymmetrical draped with all over Jaal embroidery to shine in its glory, keeping bottom as a draped salwar those Drapes not only add flow and ease to the look but also well balanced with jewelry. Rahi Chadda in Louis Vuitton at NMACC

Rahi Chadda wore Louis Vuitton spring 23 look the way it walked on the runway. The look beautiful intersects the west & east encapsulates green symbolizing new beginning & Floral Embroidery on painted background feels like a canvas of spring in Kashmir the Indian details to craft. Effortlessly sharp look. ( Interesting looks like a take on men dhoti accessories with the strings of geometric beads and drama ethnic but raised standard. ) The more you look at the look the more it grows.

Poorna in Gucci, references pre independence Band gala captures a modernized editorial Indian couture with the clear silhouette without any drama of colours, fabric or embroidery. The Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla 3 piece look that Meezaan has carried is an Organza open style coat with texture details, playfulness of sheer and opacity layered on kali kurta having details on the yoke in a plunge style paired up with palazzo pants an architectural look straight out of royal court. Additional credits to the pearls mojri and layered Kundan necklaces.

Ame Amrit In Albert Ferretti gown a beautiful mustard solid draped gown was an amalgamation to the influence of Sari & Punjabi Chunni that the West has been inspired for quite a while. No Doubt the Look is Fluid & Soft with the way it is molding on the body, it surely brings the Powerful edgy energy influencing Raigiri Nandini Energy. the way it is making the body look with all the drapes & cut insanely confident to say the least Carried By Ame.

Another Slay that Ame did was With this Rajesh Pratap Singh look ( Always insane to look at his work how incredible the textiles look, straight From Future, the Colour palate is like looking to art from a different world ) the 35th look of the recent collection had 2 Colours the deep purplish blue that is reflective with the light, lined with vibrant rani Pink all I Can think of ” Pink is the Navy Blue of India”. it surely was justified when we look at the look,

another impeccable thing about the look is the Pants the almost gradating detail from Gold Cluster to fading it to spaced out Embroidery is interesting subtle but hard to not remising it . Cant wait to see on yet many more red carpets. one of the favorite person for sure.

One of the best Gilded looks at NMACC that had so much attention to the Fabric was brought by the Indian model Bhumika Arora in Rimzim Dadu, the gown’s fabric made in metallic yarns as fine as a hair could be, sewn together forming the spectacular structured gown takin 100 man hours to weave this phenomenon fabric is so rich in the technicality India offers. Styled in old Bollywood way, letting the tradition of some things old & something new to go hand in hand.

Let the Fabric of Banares ( Pure silk fabric that has weaving of Silver or Gold forming patterns like Flower, geometry ,etc) Shine in its fill glory in a well constructed silhouette modernizing it with cuts & utilizing the borders by creating Out lines and details wherever need. Pure Genius. Just right amount of opulence with rich royalty.

Natasha Poona Walla in Sabhyasachi and Gucci at NMACC

Natasha Never miss to bring the Opulence to the Carpets & hardly Misses. This insanely crafted Gown by Sabyasachi not only is attention to details with the floral embroideries that are carried in India through ages but also Typicality of Indian Borders that generally goes on each & every Silhouette as a way of Highlighting a garment combines the modern silhouette to soft Indian with the pinch of the detail at the hem. To Top this softness A highly exaggerated Fur Cape is Sported that brings the look in such a wealthy manner topped off with Necklaces breathtaking. Only thing that looks off is the clutch bag that hangs or no reason apart from branding detail.
