A confident, wealth , modernly accurate look while playing culture & art through fashion.

Cynthia Erivo in Louis Vuitton

Cynthia Erivo in this dropped waist dress by Louis Vuitton is definitely not appropriate in terms of Silhouette But there are elements that make it appropriate , like the usage of lace. Lace was one of the Lux of the Gilded era where women used to collect fine lace & utilize it in the outfits ( mostly upper-class, as was expensive ) or recycle lace from outfits. Also the Headscarf holds a story of how White women in America used to get jealous of the enslaved black women fir there men used to adorn Hairs of Black women. for which black women started to cover there hair for further issue. A well take on gilded History of America

Emma Chamberlin in Louis Vuitton

Emma Chamberlin in Louis Vuitton

It was Obvious that Emma would wear Louis Vuitton as she is the Embassidor of Louis Vuitton but like last time feel that had ristricted her carpet presence for this loks is not really worse but the top half with the hair & make up , jewels, muslin croped top that has pleats & emphasised Sleeves is so on the theme but as we go down its just blankk & just ends. It misses to Stand up to the First half , yet a beautiful look.

Kendall Jenner in Prada

Watching Kendall each time in skin fitted outfit was something most people would have imaging but this met gala Kendall experimented A ball Skirt silhouette in Prada that had Insane amount of Fabric manipulation in the bottom half from smocking, gathering , pleating Sewn in Vertical Manner. While the top half felt little Blah to match the level of the skirt But still plays into Kendall’s esthetics. Make up is Chef kiss amazing. Carrying the true Party Silhouette of Gilded era.

Cara Delivenge in Dior

Cara Delivenge in Dior

Clara’s look resembles the smoking suit which connects to the Mid eastern smoking Suits during the Gilded Era. the way it hits the perfect length, with the Golden details it have But what takes away the interest is when she went top off with just Gold Paint &gold accessorized it feels lost somehow.

Prabal has captured the highlight of Gilded Glamour for Camila whether it is the Silhouette, the Cut, Drape, Applique of Flowers, trail, criss cross Rivets detail ( as the court dressing of the time ) at the neck is beautiful but the way the fabric looks so cheap & wrinkly , destroys the fun of the look.

Chloe Mortez In Louis Vuitton

Chloe Mortez In Louis Vuitton

The metallic colour palate that Chloe looks like a Guest in a French Themed dressed Party. Meaning, the way its portrait in the Movies. rich people throw balls with a period in mind & guest dresses up like that. In that Context it does look look late 1790’s early 1800’s men’s attire. which I feel feel could be appropriate for the time of wealth Gilded Era.

Alicia Keys in Ralph Lauren

Alicia Keys in Ralph Lauren

Alicia keys wore a custom Ralph Lauren Custom look, An Asymmetric Cape with beautifully Embroidered crystals in silver with straight gown was not at all interesting for the theme. Silver for Gilded Glamour? Din work either. Modern Skyline? why? could have switched it up with the Architecture of the Gilded Era, or the first building to incorporate the era. Anything But we get is this.

Kim Kardashian in Marilyn Monroe’s Original Dress

Kim Kardashian in Marilyn Monroe’s Original Dress

Kim Kardashian did Some dramatic take on the Met Which was not really taken well by most people. As she walked the Carpert in the original Marilyn Monroe’s Gown designed by John Louis in the Colour matching Precisely to her skin, When worn by Marilyn almost 60 yrs back, which was considered Controversial for he time, consider now Iconic, while she sang Happy Birthday to the President. One of the most American thing in American History.

I’m not really happy that Kim wore this for Gilded glamour , if she would have worn it last year would have made sense as it was about American things & Marilyn was an Absolute choice but again wearing this dress would not be the right decision for not only the historic importance but also wear & tear & affecting it. Plus it doesn’t even match her skins tone which exactly was the point of the dress when made for Marilyn. Nor was the hair matched to her if portraying her Hair just looks weirdly gross. Could Av gone for something with the Theme & let everyone live peacefully.

Hoping next year she might go with something more experimental than sticking to the same bodycon looks as it just look’s the same on her for a While.

Just like that Met Gala’s Red Carpets were filled with Mild Extravaganza this year. most of the looks Above grabbed some serious attention , breaking norms while standing out clearly. From Stories been revisited from the American history to , visual appeal to the fashion & how far it has come in terms of Silhouette, Colour, texture, execution’s Etc. Also the way sustainability was done with brands creating a look. moving forward with the hope that the Coming year will be more fun as More celebs respects the concept next year & we Could See Some Stunning looks.
